Euchre Tournment
Tuesday March 10th
The taproom always has plenty of games to play, but one reigns supreme… That’s why we’re bringing back our FREE weekly Euchre tournaments every Tuesday from February 3 – March 24 at 7:00 p.m.!
Each week is a standalone tournament, and the top two teams will each win a piece of Cold Garden merch!
How to Play:
Sign up with a partner, or we’ll pair you up at the event. If you RSVP but can’t make it, please cancel to free up space for others. Games are eight hands or 20 minutes, whichever comes first. Teams accumulate points each game, and the highest-scoring team at the end of the night is crowned the Cold Garden Euchre Tourney Champions! We’re playing with the "Stick the Dealer" rule—the dealer must make trump, no redeals!Even if the event is full, feel free to drop by—we’ll do our best to fit you in! Whether you’re here for a casual round or looking to dominate all five weeks, we can’t wait to see you at the tables. Good luck!

Neutral Ground
Thursday March 19th
Neutral Ground is back and the next featured artist is truly special, bringing such a unique sound, she will have you pausing mid conversation to find out who is singing. This third Thursday, March 19th at 7:30 we meet back on Neutral Ground to jam together and celebrate the amazing talent in Alberta : Damase Elis, Diya Dabash & Stephen Curtis.
Bring your friends, your instruments and leave behind your worries for a night of live music and to hear the music Damase has been working on lately.
Her music is the result of a possibly obsessive adoration of indie, folk, blues, and jazz, and the impulse to translate queer stories into these genres. Her varied vocal style has earned her occasional comparisons to Tracy Chapman & Florence Welch.
Elis began playing for audiences in 2014, and has since performed at venues throughout Canada and the United States, including a recent set at Calgary’s storied King Eddy. In 2017, she released her first EP, Into the Waves, under the pseudonym Riel.
Her most recent project, The Gas Station Affair, is a tender reflection on first queer love and the emotional fallout that followed.

Friday March 27th
Charity Hockey Game to fight Cancer! Watch medical students and physicians battle on ice to fight cancer. All ticket sales and donations go toward cancer research and are doubled by the Cameron C. Daye & Catherine M. Pearson Sarcoma Endowment and Alberta Cancer Foundation.
